Silent Pool Gin was founded by former ITV Director Ian McCulloch and drinks expert James Shelbourne. As well as using water from the spring-fed Silent Pool pond next to the distillery, from which the gin takes its name and the colour of its bottle, it features 24 botanicals. These include chamomile, rose, elderflower, Kaffir lime leaf, pear, bergamot and local honey.
The gin itself is beautiful and complex, with deep layers of floral chamomile and lavender, Kaffir lime leaf and citrus, sweet honey and elderflower, and earthy cubeb and cassia bark.
