Bogle Vineyards Viognier
Another stunning wine from the Bogle family in the cool Sacramento delta of California. Appetizing display of luscious aromas with fresh apricot and pear fruit tang on the palate. A third of this wine spent 10 months in brand new American oak, barrel fermented and left on its lees. The rest of the blend was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Nose: Subtle aromas of apricot blossom but intense fruit on the palate.
Palate: Apricots predominate then pineapples with a background of vanilla cream from the oak giving an interesting full-bodied wine.
Finish: This wine was fermented cold in stainless steel tanks to allow the varietal character to shine.
Food Pairing: Give it a try with semi-soft cheeses and chutneys or fresh fruits.
