The Red House Maquinon Garnacha Priorat appears intense ruby red with violet hues, exotic oriental spice mingled with candied red fruit and hints of coffee on the nose. The palate opens full with dried raspberry and cherry fruit, leafy with liquorice and a hint of chocolate, finishing strong with spice, a little oak and even more dried red fruit. An excellent red that should be allowed to breathe 1-2hours and will get even better with age. Best served with grilled red meats and strong cheeses.
