Cabernet Sauvignon

Château Ducru Beaucaillou 2018

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou owes its name to its "beautiful pebbles" ("beaux Cailloux", in French) that geologists refer to less romantically as Gunzian gravel. These Gunzian gravels make for soils that are poor in plant nutrients. But it is their very agrological paucity that guarantees the qualitative excellence of the wines. A choice of nature.

Grape Varieties: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot

Wine Region: Saint Julien, Bordeaux, France

Tasting Notes: The aromatic bouquet is dazzling, springing from the glass to reveal notes of black fruits, punctuated by delicate floral fragrances, especially violet. Swirling the glass reveals beautifully mineral graphite notes. The palate is sumptuous, captivating with its voluminous texture and presenting great class, along with a perfect structure of refined and polished tannins.

Food Pairing: Beef Wellington
