Cabernet Sauvignon

Rodney Strong 'Alexander Valley' Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

A pioneer in the Alexander Valley, Rod Strong was the first to craft a single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon in the Alexander Valley. In 1974, Rod Strong was ahead of his time as it would be a full decade before this appellation was recognized as an AVA.

Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon

Wine Region: Alexander Valley, California

Tasting Notes: An exquisite Californian Cabernet, renowned for its layered, complex character. It exhibits rich blackberry, raspberry and cassis aromas, entwined with notes of vanilla and cocoa. This full-bodied and robust Cabernet Sauvignon, matured in French oak for 16 months, has a lush palate, offering bold tannins and a lingering finish.

Food Pairing: Filet mignon with grilled vegetables or a dark chocolate mousse.
