Bruno Rocca Barbaresco ‘Curra’ Reserva 2012

Currà takes its name from the parish priest of Neive (curato in Italian and curà in Piedmontese); it is believed that in the past, the land was property of the Church who was always careful of its choice in income. Its position, terrain, and microclimate make a wine that is highly elegant with pleasant, harmonious tannins.

Grape Varietals: 100% Nebbiolo

Wine Region: Curra, Barbaresco, Italy

Tasting Notes: The dark exuberance of the fruit and the soft textural richness of the mouthfeel. Both 2012 and 2015 are warm vintages in the Barbaresco region. But this wine is further along its evolutionary track, and you can recognize those budding aromas of licorice, tar and campfire ash as a result. The elegant finish offers smoky flavors and silky, integrated tannins. Drink in 2022-2035.
