Made by mezcalero Aquilino García López in Oaxaca, Mezcal Vago Elote takes two Mexican staple products: corn and agave. It is produced from Espadin agave, and the 100% agave spirit is then infused with toasted corn. Traditionally, this type of mezcal would have only been made for special occasions. It contains all the hallmark smoky notes with a subtle toasted note from the corn.
Tasting Notes: Toasted wood and an oily nuttiness, sweet brown sugar notes alongside underripe banana and papaya surrounded by swirls of smoke, with a refreshing finish of mint leaves and tropical fruit.
