This is the Zafra 21 Year Old Master Reserve rum, an absolutely ace Panamanian rum which was aged in bourbon barrels for just over two decades. Considering is was blended by a former Maestro Ronero for Havana Club, you can expect a fantastic nose and palate from this expression, packed with juicy fruit (think cherry and sultana), robust vanilla and balancing oak elements. Top class stuff right here.

Mocha, raspberry and brandied cherry. Currant buns and lemon tart later on. Very creamy. Soft caramel and milky coffee leading into brown sugar and Curaçao orange peels. Some spicy black liquorice notes. Waxy peels, cardamom and brandied cherries again.
