Brown Estate 'Chaos Theory'

Chaos Theory began as a one-off blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel that David created for our first participation in the annual Premiere Napa Valley trade auction. It made such a splash he went back to the cellar to dial in the details so we could make it a permanent part of our lineup. Over the years this proprietary blend has become a shape-shifter, each vintage its own unique blend.

Grape Varieties: 55% Napa Valley Cabernet Franc, 35% Brown Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Monte Rosso Zinfandel

Region: Napa Valley, California

Tasting Notes: Ripe black fruit and dark chocolate underpin primary notes of graphite, pencil shavings, green pepper, vineyard dust, and anise. Nose is rounded out by hints of sassafras, heavy cream, lavender, violet, and Italian leather. The palate is dense and plush mouthfeel with delightful acidity, gentle tannins, and lingering finish.

Food Pairing:  Hamburgers with Carmelized Onions and Garlic Aioli
