Castello di Volpaia Balifico 2015

Balifico is named after the homonymous vineyard located at 1.350 feet a.s.l., between the celebrated vineyards of Coltassala and Casanova. A blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet, it’s one of the first Supertuscans acclaimed by the international press.

Grape Varietal: 65% Sangiovese, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon 

Region: Tuscany, Italy 

Appearance: Vivid ruby color with a dark purple tinge.

On the nose: Elegant, displaying aromas of blackberry and blueberry with hints of oak and cinnamon.

On the palate: This wine is smooth and round with red fruit flavours, good structure and a long finish.
