Catena Zapata 'Argentino' Malbec 2021

Nicolás Catena Zapata was the first ever South American to be named Decanter Man of the Year. He introduced high-altitude Malbec to the world, helping make Argentinian expressions of the grape a household name.

Wine Region: Maipu, Mendoza, Argentina

Grape Varieties: 100% Malbec

Tasting Notes: Expect notes of black fruits, mocha and vanilla. The nose also has notes of sweet, brambly fruits with chocolate and cinnamon from the oak, notes that are forward but harmoniously integrated thanks to the barrel fermentation.

Food Pairing: Beef Short Ribs
