Château Palmer 2019

Château Palmer is a leading wine estate in Margaux. Although officially ranked a Third Growth, at their best, the wines of Chateau Palmer are among the greatest anywhere in Bordeaux. Thanks to the health and consistency of the estate’s biodynamically produced fruit, Palmer has been able, to safely reduce the quantity of sulfites added throughout the process, aiming to produce wines with more freshness and purity of flavor. 

Grape Varieties: 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot

Wine Region: Margaux, Bordeaux, France

Tasting Notes: Deep purple-black in colour with an opaque core. The nose bursts with ripe black cherries, blackberries, violets, sweet tobacco, bramble-berry compote and hints of graphite, licorice and spice. The palate is full-bodied and concentrated yet elegant, with finely grained tannins, energetic acidity and a long, velvety finish. It combines precision, richness and balance — a hallmark of Château Palmer’s refined power. Drink 2025-2055.

Food Pairing: Roast rack of lamb with rosemary-garlic jus, or aged beef with sautéed wild mushrooms.
