The Maître de Chai, Michel Casavecchia, meticulously hand-selects the rarest eaux-de-vie — some of which have rested for years in the cellars of the Chateau de Cognac — to craft the unique blend of D’USSÉ XO Cognac. Aged a minimum of ten years, the eaux-de-vie rest in French oak barrels to ensure the utmost complexity and depth in flavor.
The nose is dry, spicy and woody, with lurking layers of sweet, ripe red fruits, and floral honey. Delivers rich notes of ripe blackberry and apricot, layered with hints of dark chocolate and walnut. Baking spices and more oak all come back on the finish, along with a fainter background note of honey.
