Henri Bourgeois 'Petit Bourgeois' Sauvignon Blanc

The story of our family is told over ten generations of winegrowers. Men who cultivate an attachment – in Sancerre, in the village of Chavignol – as well as daring. And more besides: a commitment, that of revealing the great terroirs of the appellation.

Every day, the same values drive us :

• a calling to express all the aspects of Sancerre, its identities born of terroirs rich in their variety;
• a celebration of the Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir varietals.

Nose: The nose is also somewhat typical of a Sauvignon Blanc, but clearly more pungent and more tropical than the average aromatic profile for a French Sauvignon.

Palate: The palate is very dry, featuring a crisp and mineral, citrusy acidity. The medium body just balances out the zingy palate feel. The rich and ripe citrusy flavors of lemon and pink grapefruit though, make for a luscious fruity impression.

Finish: Some phenolics add a touch of green bitterness to the finish, like biting into a fresh lime.
