Penfolds is certainly Australia’s and possibly one of the world’s most iconic wine producers. First created in 1962, Penfolds Bin 128 is a sublime, cool climate Shiraz. A layered and structured expression of Australia’s favourite grape that reflects the unique climate of South Australia’s Coonawarra district. It’s sourced from the terra rossa soils of Coonawara, resulting in a perfumed and seductive wine.

Tasting Notes: This wine is precise and focused, with a fragrant lifted nose of sweet dark and red berry fruit, vanilla and subtle smoky complexity. It’s fluid and supple in the mouth, with a gently textured attack and a touch of salinity cleansed by firm zesty acidity. It’s mouth-filling but not heavy; there is real drive and energy here.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with a rack of lamb or stuffed field mushrooms.
