Penfolds Max's Shiraz 2020

Penfolds Max’s Shiraz is a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert 1948-1975, a legend in Penfolds history. This inaugural release honors Max in the year he would have turned 100 years old (February 9, 2015) were he still with us today. Max’s constant pursuit of excellence paved the way for those who followed in his footsteps and also allowed the status and heritage of Penfolds to grow.

Tasting Notes: Red fruits with mixed spice; cinnamon and nutmeg, Christmas spice. Cooler fruit spectrum with pepper and roasted capsicum. Red berry, blueberry, with summer pudding and cherry. Oak in the background adds layers of flavour and texture, encased with fine powdery tannins. Full, soft, rich, elegent, what more great things can you say about how suductive this wine is.
