Ramey Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
The twelfth vintage of this appellation Cabernet is blended from a combination of hillside and valley floor vineyards. Their style combines the harmony produced by traditional Bordelaise winemaking techniques with the voluptuousness gained from California’s weather, especially in this perfect vintage.
Grape Varietals: 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec, and 2% Cab Franc
Wine Region: Napa Valley, California
Tasting Notes: Very pure, layered aromas of raspberry and cherry preserves with notes of cardamom, aniseed and rose petals. Intensely layered and perfumed, seamless and long. Flavors of turned earth, pungent tobacco leaf and currant define its savory, substantially structured elegance that offers room to age.
Food Pairing: Escargot
