Remoissenet Corton Grand Cru Rouge 2017

Remoissenet Père et Fils, is an old and established name that is slowly and quietly carving out a new name for itself – as a producer of good reds! Founded in 1877, this unusual and interesting company was run for about 30 years by Roland Remoissenet from a stunning 14th century building in Beaune - externally there is not much to see, but on the inside it’s very special.

Grapes: 100% Pinot Noir

Region: Aloxe-Corton, Burgundy, France

Nose: Ruby colour with great extraction. Its nose is powerful and verging on candied fruit and spices when maturing.

Finish:  It has good structure in the mouth, without harshness. A good Corton must have "gras" (a velvety texture) to counterbalance tannin and acidity. On the palate, it recalls the candied fruit present in the nose. Very long and persistent, it ends on a very complex note".
