San Felice Virgin Olive Oil (.500)

The hilly area of ​​San Felice is an ideal terroir, undulating between 350 and 400 metres above sea level, producing elegant and fruity tasting olives.
The gnarled trunks of ancient trees reflect their years in the elements but also the artful pruning that maintains crowns for easier harvesting.
The olive groves add to Borgo San Felice’s mythical beauty.

San Felice grows around 15,000 olive trees, which we press for our estate DOP olive oil. Each tree is a symbol of ancient myth and legend. In Ancient Egypt it was said the art of producing oil began with Isis, Goddess of motherhood, fertility and magic. For Hebrews olive oil is a symbol of divine blessing and traditionally their kings were anointed with oil. For the Greeks Athena planted an olive tree atop the Acropolis in her battle to win the city from Poseidon.
